Cologne cooperative continues to expand its strategic network

Premium licensers are skeptical

Cologne/Wiesbaden. PremiumZulasser eG (PZeG), under whose umbrella 60 local and regional registration companies have joined forces to form a nationwide association, is further expanding its strategic partnership with the German motor vehicle industry. After cooperation with the state associations of North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony-Bremen, the Cologne cooperative is now also a partner of the Hessian state association, which represents the interests of over 2,200 guild companies with around 57,200 employees. Both organizations announced this today.

“In view of limited human resources and high operational costs, the automation of complex and time-consuming standard processes is an important component in strengthening the competitiveness of our companies. The partnership with the premium licensees, who have taken up the digitalization of the registration system, helps us in this,” emphasizes Michael Kraft, President of the Hesse Motor Vehicle Association. The manual transfer of owner and vehicle data into various documents, which is still widely practiced, is inefficient and prone to errors.

Kraft therefore expects measurable relief for retailers, particularly through the use of the PZeG approval software premium-zulasser.online, which not only the cooperative’s member companies but also over 6,000 car dealerships use in their daily business. The tool enables direct access to the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport’s i-Kfz digital portal. This eliminates the need for users to make time-consuming and cost-intensive investments in connecting existing operational IT infrastructures to the i-Kfz major customer interface. In addition, the PZeG software is networked via interfaces with commercially available and proven systems such as cargo, EasyCarSale, GeNeSys, web-Dispo, Yoma, Catch and Toca.

Last year, member companies and their customers processed over 1.6 million new registrations, re-registrations and decommissionings using the PZeG software. That was 17 percent more than in 2022. This meant that the PZeG community was able to further expand its position as the number one approval service provider on the German market.

“We are very pleased about the trust that the Hesse regional association of the motor vehicle industry now places in our services, which go far beyond the use of our software,” says Florian Cichon, CEO of PremiumZulasser eG.

For the current car year, President Michael Kraft in Hesse expects a slight increase in new car registrations, a decent commercial vehicle business, a lively used car market and continued dynamic service. In addition to digitalization, the qualified further development of business models, the occupation of niches and the expansion of mobility services are concepts for the future with which the medium-sized automotive industry will consolidate its position despite the difficult economic conditions.
